Marinade for Turkey Tenderloin

Marinade for Turkey Tenderloin

  • Total Time: 40 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon cracked black pepper
  • 2 turkey tenderloins, approximately 1 pound total

Instructions

  1. In a medium sized glass bowl or a large measuring cup, combine the olive oil, soy sauce, lemon juice, and honey. Whisk these ingredients together vigorously until the honey is fully dissolved and the oil is well incorporated into the mixture.
  2. Stir in the minced garlic, dried rosemary, dried thyme, and black pepper. The fragrance of the herbs will immediately start to bloom, giving you a preview of the wonderful holiday flavors to come.
  3. Place your turkey tenderloins into a large resealable bag or a shallow glass baking dish. Pour the marinade over the meat, ensuring that every surface is thoroughly coated. If using a bag, squeeze out as much air as possible before sealing to maximize contact between the meat and the liquid.
  4. Place the turkey in the refrigerator and let it soak up the flavors for at least 30 minutes. For the best results, especially if you are preparing for a big Thanksgiving dinner, let it marinate for 2 to 4 hours to ensure the meat is deeply seasoned and stays moist during the cooking process.
  5. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Remove the tenderloins from the marinade and place them in a roasting pan. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165 degrees Fahrenheit. Let the meat rest for at least 5 to 10 minutes before slicing to lock in all those delicious juices.
